Meet your teacher

Hi, I'm Mr. Martinez. I'm a math teacher and a homeschool dad.

For 19 years I've taught math in public school classrooms. I've watched thousands of students walk in saying "I'm just not a math person" and walk out solving equations they never thought they could. That moment, when a kid finally gets it, is still my favorite part of the job.

I'm also a husband and a father. My child has autism and is homeschooled right now, so I know this road from your side of the kitchen table. I know how hard it is to find the right pace, how much patience a tough lesson takes, and how much it means when your child feels confident and proud of their work.

That's why I built YuriBella Learning Labs. Your child gets lessons they can work through at their own pace, plus a real, certified teacher who knows their name, meets them live every week, and cares how they're doing. I'd be honored to be part of your family's homeschool journey.

Questions parents ask

FAQ

Who teaches the live classes?

Mr. Martinez, an FLDOE-certified mathematics teacher with 19 years of public school classroom experience and a Florida High Impact Teacher award. He runs every live class and the Thursday help session himself.

What if my child misses a live class?

The self-paced lessons cover everything, so nothing is lost. Bring questions to Thursday live help, or message or call Mr. Martinez on WhatsApp at (754) 777-0611.

I'm not good at math. Can I still homeschool it?

Yes. That's who this is for. Every practice problem has a worked solution, the teacher meets your child live each week, and the Friday report tells you exactly where things stand.

Does this count for Florida home education requirements?

Florida home-ed families keep a portfolio and complete an annual evaluation. Our weekly reports and work samples are made to go straight into that portfolio. You remain the one who directs your child's education.

How do I know which course my child needs?

Join the list and we'll send a free placement check. It tells you which grade-level course to start in, from Grade 5 Math through Geometry.

What do we need for the live classes?

A laptop, Chromebook or tablet with a camera and microphone, and a Google account to join Google Meet. A notebook and pencil are still the best math tools.
